We Are All Magical Beings

Our exorcism will take place at midnight on Sept 17, 2025. I look up what phase the moon will be in. The Waning Crescent phase. I look up what that means.

• 24.81 days old and 22.09% illuminated, with the illuminated surface decreasing.
• After the Full Moon and before the New Moon.
• The illuminated portion of the moon appears to shrink.

The Spiritual Meaning of The Waning Crescent Moon Phase

• During the waning moon you will want to reflect on your life, consider the changes you have made, and whether these changes have had a positive or negative impact on you.

• It is important during the waning crescent that you take on an observer role toward your own life - not taking action but rather taking an overview of your life and discerning which areas of your life are in harmony and which areas feel strained.

• During the waning moon you will want to reflect on your life, consider the changes you have made, and whether these changes have had a positive or negative impact on you.

• During the waning moon, it is very important to honour your accomplishments as well as look favourably at your strengths.

• Personal growth is a huge central force during the waning cycle and in order to move forward and create new opportunities for yourself, you must first look back and reflect to see how far you have come.

• The waning moon phase is a low energy phase as the moon moves through its last crescent; it is important to sit back and recognise yourself as a person in full.

• For example, you can explore your habits, negative thoughts, and stresses that may have plagued you in this time and identify their causes and their reasons.

• Once you have done this you can start working toward changing these habits in the new moon phase and beyond.

• The main benefit of the waning crescent spiritually is the ability to connect with oneself and feel fresh and aware when the new moon arrives.

White Face

While mind-mapping on the segregated sink, to create our marketing image, I notice that each time I draw a mixed-race person in action they are facing the world or the other person with their white face.

Suggestions to Help You Align With the Spiritual Meaning

  1. Release and Letting Go:
    • Declutter: Physically and mentally clear out space. Donate or discard item you no longer need and release negative thoughts and emotions.
    • Journaling: Reflect on the past lunar cycle. Identify what you want to release and what you've learned. Write down any intentions you want to let go of and then burn the paper to symbolize letting go.
    • Cord-Cutting Rituals: If you're working with energy, consider cord-cutting rituals to release unhealthy attachments.
    • Forgiveness: Focus on forgiving yourself and others, releasing resentment and negativity.

  2. Rest and Rejuvenation:
    • Rest and Relaxation: Prioritize rest and allow yourself to recharge. This could include taking a relaxing bath, practicing gentle yoga, or simply enjoying quiet time.
    • Self-Care: Engage in activities that nurture your mind, body, and spirit. This could involve a ritual bath, meditation, or spending time in nature.
    • Nourishment: Focus on nourishing your body with healthy foods and activities that promote well-being.
    • Dreamwork:
Pay attention to your dreams, as they can offer insights into what needs to be released or addressed.

  3. Intention Setting (Preparation for the New Moon):
    • Review Intentions: Reflect on the intentions you set during the last new moon and see how they have progressed.
    • Prepare for the New Moon: Use this time to mentally and emotionally prepare for the new moon, when you will set new intentions.
    • Visualize: Visualize your goals and desired outcomes for the next lunar cycle.
    • Connect to the Moon: Take time to connect with the moon's energy, perhaps by meditating or spending time outdoors under the moonlight.

How Can This Play Out In MY MUM IS WHITE

• Don't hire an embodied grief counsellor, make our own rituals.
• Keep a dream diary.
• Become new us, new culture, new creative practitioners.
• Become aligned with our true self, by controlling our own recovery.

I get really excited. White face makes sense to me. It’s not race, though it is definitely embedded in race. It’s institutions. Institutions have a certain language. Born and grown in the enlightenment. Paid for, sorry to say it, sometimes I get sick of my own one trick pony answer to everything, but it’s true, paid for by the stolen labour in the transatlantic slave trade. Think about it. Science. Art. Philosophy. (Don’t make me laugh.) All get a head start. They’ve got time to think about this shit. Plus create the beautiful architecture to house it. The architecture we still visit today to be trained in the glamour of white face.

Witches

A modern embodied grief counsellor is to me a member of the white face. I type in crescent moon energy rituals. I of course find witches.

Smoke of air and fire of earth.
Bless and cleanse this home and hearth.
Drive away all harm and fear;
only good may enter here.

Moon Gods

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_lunar_deities

Thoth's roles in Egyptian mythology were many. He served as scribe of the gods,[18] credited with the invention of writing and Egyptian hieroglyphs.[19] In the underworld, Duat, he appeared as an ape, Aani, the god of equilibrium, who reported when the scales weighing the deceased's heart against the feather, representing the principle of Maat, was exactly even.[7]

The ancient Egyptians regarded Thoth as One, self-begotten, and self-produced.[16] He is the master of both physical and moral (i.e. divine law),[16] making proper use of Ma'at.[20] He is credited with making the calculations for the establishment of the heavens, stars, Earth,[16] and everything in them.[20]

The Egyptians credited him as the author of all works of science, religion, philosophy, and magic.

Thoth existed long before white face.

58 days = 2 x 29-day moon cycles

I see a pattern.

23.07.25
The first time me, Professor Adam Danquah and the 6 mixed heritage creative and cultural practitioners will be together is the July the 23rd. To write our ground rules. To look at our letter of agreement. To test the consent, ethics, all the white face things. It is also a waning crescent moon.

17.09.25
58 days later post each writing a memoir, we all unpack, that generates 16 8’ x 8 8-station mind-maps, we enter a 2nd waning crescent moon.

23.07.25 — 17.09.25
• 23.07.25. We have to set our intention in the first waning crescent moon.
• It is important during the waning crescent that you take on an observer role toward your own life - not taking action but rather taking an overview of your life and discerning which areas of your life are in harmony and which areas feel strained.
• We have to question how and why we are presenting our white face to the world.
• 17.09.25. The waning moon phase is a low energy phase and as the moon moves through its last crescent; it is important to sit back and recognise yourself as a person in full.

White Face Is Not Skin Colour

Again, I want to reiterate, white face is not skin colour. In these 58 days I want to unpack what it is? White face keeps us disconnected from each other, our beautiful blue/green world, the moon’s cycles, the free 50 tomato plants in every tomato. Unearthing white face is important. I don’t know in what way yet.

But now I have unearthed it, it feels like an embodied grief counsellor would only be a plaster. A plaster I was willing to try because it is fashionable in white-face language. But actually, there are century old philosophies that a non-white face could conjure too if we let go. We could then make use of that side of our selves in our everyday practise.

Without white face making everything boring we could all enjoy being the magical creative beings we really are.
